BD Vacutainer® Citrate Tubes with 3.2% buffered sodium citrate solution are used for routine coagulation studies. Outer Tube Consists of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate), the virtually unbreakable material used for all BD Plastic Tubes. Retains vacuum, maintaining proper blood to additive ratio. Consistent 13x75mm plastic tube external dimensions. Standard light blue BD Hemogard™ closure. Inner Tube Consists of Polypropylene, a specialized non-activating surface. Retains liquid additive, keeping citrate concentration and the blood to additive ratio at the optimum levels.
